- Who doesn’t enjoy a vacation on Lake Maggiore? This northern Italian lake is rightly a haven of relaxation – sometimes overcrowded in the summer, but a haven of peace in the off-season. Located on the less touristy eastern shore in the town of Luino, the small roastery El Miguel has been dedicated to translating this lifestyle into espresso blends carefully prepared according to traditional recipes since the 1970s.The three blends – Profundo (50/50), Precioso (70/30), and Reserva do Fundador (80/20) – impressed us so much, including in terms of value,
that we decided to expand our range to include these balanced espressos. Due to their more moderate roast, all three are also ideal for preparation in a fully automatic coffee machine.Reserva do Fundador is the roastery’s top blend – and with its higher Arabica content, adds another touch of grandeur for espresso fans.
